Kao Announces Results of Its Latest Study on Pollen Entry into Room.


Tokyo, Japan, Oct 22, 2005 - (JCNN JCNN Japan Corporate News Network ) - Kao announced on October 20 the results of its latest study on pollen entry into homes. The company surveyed pollen entry using an empty room simulated for a typical room used by a family of 3 to 4.

The results indicated that about 60% of pollens were brought to the room by opening the windows and 37% by laundries and bedclothes aired outside. The amount of pollens brought by clothes was found to be minute.

Further, the company has confirmed that the amount of pollens entering the room was reduced to 56% by hanging the lace curtains and 15% by opening the window only 10cm.
