Diva rapper fires driver on spot..

after having to wait for his LUNCH DON'T take too long getting lunch for Kanye West - or he'll fire you on the spot!

That's exactly what happened to one of his trusty London drivers when he was sent out with the star's private chef to pick up lunch from Selfridges Food Hall.

Kanye's practically been living in London of late, where he's working on new music and staying at a swanky swank·y

Recently Kanye wanted food quick-smart - and he wasn't taking any prisoners getting it...

My impeccable source in Camp Kanye tells me: "He employs 10 or so people. Three bodyguards, a number of drivers and his own personal chef Jennifer goes everywhere with him to cook whatever he wants on-site.

"Kanye decided he wanted a Selfridges lunch and sent the driver out. Obviously, he's never heard of the Tube... and London suffers from horrendous hor·ren·dous

 traffic.

"The driver left at 1pm and didn't make it back until 3pm when the head of security told him: 'I'm sorry but I'm going to have to let you go. You took too long and Kanye got pi**ed off. He was really hungry.'" Now said driver is considering taking Kanye to court.

Nothing we haven't come to expect from the self-proclaimed "saviour of music".

And it's a case of step aside J-Lo and Mariah when diva Kanye comes to town - his riders when he performs have become increasingly amusing. Stories have surfaced in Australia that Kanye insists on organiconly food, Versace towels and that all man-made fibres are banned from being worn in his presence. The Gold Digger singer also lost his rag and had a fan ejected after a business card was thrown on-stage in Washington.

Sounds like someone needs to come back down to Earth, Kanye.
