Ensim Corporation, the global leader in hosting-automation software, today announced that it has named Kanwal Rekhi Kanwal Rekhi (born 1945) is an Indian-American engineer, businessman and millionaire philanthropist.

Rekhi has more than 20 years of experience in building successful technology companies. In 1982, Rekhi founded Excelan Inc., one of the first companies to commercially develop the TCP/IP protocol. Excelan went public in 1987 and merged with Novell in 1989. Rekhi remained at Novell as an executive vice president, chief technology officer and a board member. In 1993, he led Novell's acquisition of the UNIX operating system from AT&T. After leaving Novell in 1995, Rekhi served as the CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of CyberMedia until it merged with Network Associates in 1998. He also has served on the boards of directors of more than a dozen companies, including hosting leader Exodus Communications.

Over the years, Rekhi also has been active in the Silicon Valley community of entrepreneurs, receiving numerous awards and recognition for his commitment to technology and entrepreneurship. Rekhi was named Entrepreneur of the Year in 1987 by the Arthur-Young/Venture magazine. Before Ensim, Dauber was vice president of marketing at CenterBeam, an IT management services firm, where he oversaw the company's strategic move from the small business to the enterprise market. From 1999 to 2000, Dauber was vice president of marketing for Loran Technologies, where he led the restructuring and repositioning of the company that resulted in Loran's acquisition by Peregrine Systems in 2000. Dauber first worked with Rekhi at Excelan, which merged with Novell in 1989. While at Novell, Dauber held several key positions including director of marketing for the Management Products Division. In this role, Dauber drove licensing efforts with Intel and created the industry's first integrated enterprise management product, ManageWise, which grew into one of Novell's top four brands.
