Kangaroo harvest? (Environment).

How much is too much of a good thing (convention) Good Thing - (From the 1930 Sellar and Yeatman parody "1066 And All That") Often capitalised; always pronounced as if capitalised.

1. Self-evidently wonderful to anyone in a position to notice: "The Trailblazer's 19.2 Kbaud PEP mode with on-the-fly Lempel-Ziv compression is a Good Thing for sites relaying netnews".

? People in Australia are asking this question about kangaroos
Kangaroos
Slang term for Australian stocks, it refers mostly to the stocks on the All Ordinaries index, which is composed of 280 of the most active Australian companies.

Notes:
Kangaroos are one of the most recognizable symbols of Australia, outside of Mel Gibson and Nicole Kidman of course.

kangaroo, name for a variety of hopping marsupials, or pouched mammals, of the family Macropodidae, found in Australia, Tasmania, and New Guinea. The term is applied especially to the large kangaroos of the genus Macropus. Kangaroos have powerful hind legs designed for leaping, long feet, short forelimbs, and long muscular tails. The hind legs are also used to deliver blows at enemies when the animal is cornered; the feet are sharply clawed..

Australia has about 25 million kangaroos. Some farmers complain that the kangaroos are pests: They damage grasslands and compete with sheen and cattle for grazing space.

About four million kangaroos were killed last year to keep their numbers down. Some Aussies want to "harvest" kangaroos--kill them in larger numbers for food. But animal activists say that could lead to the extinction of several species.

Should kangaroos be harvested--or protected as a symbol of Australia?
