Kamran Elahian Receives FSA's "Dr. Morris Chang Exemplary Leadership Award".

, the voice of the global fabless business model, announces Silicon Valley industry veteran and philanthropist Kamran Elahian as the winner of the Dr. Morris Chang Exemplary Leadership Award. The award will be presented at the 2006 FSA Awards Dinner Celebration on Dec. 7 at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, Calif.

As a veteran entrepreneur of the high-tech industry, Elahian's recognition stems from a track record that includes development, innovation, growth and long-term opportunities for the fabless semiconductor industry. Elahian currently serves as chairman and co-founder of Global Catalyst Partners, a global venture capital fund specializing in investments for communication product companies. He is also the chairman of six other organizations and has helped launch companies that include CAE (1) (Computer-Aided Engineering) Software that analyzes designs which have been created in the computer or that have been created elsewhere and entered into the computer.  Systems, Cirrus Logic, Momenta, NeoMagic and Centillium Communications.
