Kalomirakis to take center stage at Central Park condo.

Brothers Arthur and William L. Zeckendorf, co-partners of Zeckendorf Development LLC, have announced that award-winning Theo Kalomirakis, of TK Theaters, will design the private theater at Fifteen Central Park West.

The residents of the Robert A.M. Stern-designed condominium overlooking Central Park will be able to enjoy an Oscar Night celebration, the Super Bowl or feature film presentations. The screening room will accommodate 20 people and will be located on the fifth floor of the new luxury tower. It will feature plush velvet, extra wide seating in a neo-classical environment with clean lines and modern details. The 11 foot by 7 foot screen is in state-of-the-art high definition.

Born in Athens, Greece and educated in the United States, Theo Kalomirakis is the winner of the prestigious CEDRIS award for custom electronics design, among other design awards. He is known for his exemplary audio and video capabilities, as well as for his ability to elevate the typical four-wall media room into an architecturally and technologically exciting theater environment.

Fifteen Central Park West is owned by W2001Z/15CPW, LLC, Realty, a joint venture between Whitehall Street Real Estate Fundsm an affiliate of Global Holdings, and entities owned by Arthur W. Zeckendorf and William Lie Zeckendorf. Bounded by Central Park West and Broadway, between 61st and 62nd Streets, the property has a total of 200 condominiums.

Designed by world-renowned architect and historian Robert A.M. Stern in a neo-classical style, the building will be entirely clad in Indiana limestone, previously used on such iconic monuments as the Empire State Building and Rockefeller Center. The elegant new two-wing building, encompassing this entire city block, will strike a balance between New York's pre-war architectural splendor and visionary urban design and technology of the 21st century.
