) - Kaken Pharmaceutical announced on December 20 that it has concluded a licensing agreement with Chinese pharmaceutical company Beijing Tide Pharmaceutical regarding FIBLAST Spray, which uses a recombinant recombinant /re·com·bi·nant/ (re-kom´bi-nant)

Under the agreement terms, the Chinese pharmaceutical will be able to exclusively develop and sell Kaken's proprietary product FIBLAST Spray in China. Beijing Tide Pharmaceutical expects to obtain marketing approval and begin sales of FIBLAST Spray in 2010.
