KSS takes top honors at NJ awards.


The New Jersey Chapter of the American Institute of Architects The American Institute of Architects (AIA) is a professional organization for architects in the United States. Organized in 1857, the Institute conducts various activities and programs to support the profession and enhance its public image, including periodically awarding the AIA  (AIA AIA - Application Integration Architecture ) recently announced that KSS KSS Kearns-Sayre Syndrome

KSS Kelowna Secondary School (Kelowna, BC, Canada)
KSS Kirby Super Star (SNES game) 
 Architects has been awarded several prestigious honors, including the 2007 Architect of the Year and two design awards.

KSS' partner Allan Kehrt, FAIA FAIA Florida Association of Insurance Agents
FAIA Food Additives and Ingredients Association (Kent, UK)
FAIA Fellow, American Institute of Architects (honorary position) 
, was named Architect of the Year, while the firm received an Honor Award for its Center for Academic Success at Kean University in Union, N.J., and the Merit Award for its meta Metasequoia Viewing Structure at the University of Pennsylvania's Morris Arboretum in Chestnut Hill, PA. "It is a tremendous honor to be recognized by our peers for these projects," said Kehrt. "As a firm, we take great pride in our work, and this is a wonderful affirmation of our commitment to bringing thoughtful design to all of our projects. I am also personally gratified grat·i·fy

In 2005, the AIA NJ Chapter named KSS Architects the Architectural Firm of the Year, as well as recognizing the firm with a Merit Award for its design of the Cranbury K-8 School. Additionally, the firm won the 2005 AIA Intern of the Year Award.

The AIA Awards Program brings recognition to architectural projects that exhibit design excellence.
