KRUG LIFE SCIENCES' EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT/GENERAL MANAGER APPOINTED TO TWO PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATIONS

 DAYTON, Ohio, Oct. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- KRUG International (NASDAQ-NMS: KRUG) announced today that the Executive Vice President/General Manager of KRUG Life Sciences, James M. Vanderploeg, M.D., MPH, has been named to two professional appointments.
 Vanderploeg was elected as first vice president of the Aerospace Medical Association. This election will result in Vanderploeg being named president-elect in May 1994 and president in May 1995. The Aerospace Medical Association has more than 4,000 members comprised of physicians, nurses, research scientists, physiologists, biomedical engineers, and allied health care professionals interested in the health and safety of people working in aviation and space industries. Approximately 10 percent of the membership is international, representing over 70 countries.
 Vanderploeg was also elected as a trustee of the American Board of Preventive Medicine (ABPM). He represents the specialty of aerospace medicine on the board. The ABPM sets the standards for specialty training in public health, preventive medicine, aerospace medicine, and occupational medicine. The board administers examinations in these areas and certifies those physicians who pass the examination as board certified. Vanderploeg will be serving a three-year term renewable for two additional terms.
 Since 1989, Vanderploeg has been in executive positions with KRUG Life Sciences. Currently, KRUG Life Sciences is working with NASA's Johnson Space Center on a five-year contract which includes research and development for ground-based, Space Shuttle and Space Station projects. KRUG Life Sciences also has a five-year contract with Brooks Air Force Base for acceleration and altitude physiology research.
 KRUG Life Sciences Inc. provides support services and technical consulting in life sciences research and development to NASA and the Department of Defense and other government agencies, and the commercial marketplace.
