KROY INTRODUCES INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH LABELING TAPE

KROY INTRODUCES INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH LABELING TAPE
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Dec. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- An industrial tape

supply introduced by Kroy Inc. for use in its DuraType 240 and 240 SE labeling systems is being welcomed by companies looking for a solution to labels that will be subjected to extreme weather conditions or commonly used chemicals.
The new industrial supply is winning acceptance because the permanent adhesive and laminated lettering withstand abrasion, extremes of heat and cold, commonly used industrial chemicals, solvents and exposure to ultraviolet light and humidity.
"The product was tested extensively and met the demands of industrial users for durability, versatility and adhesion,," said Bob Kranz, Kroy product manager.
The highly readable thermal lettering created on the permanent adhesive supply in the DuraType 240 and 240 SE lettering systems, is a cost-effective way to produce labels on site, in seconds. Some of the applications include parts bins, parts, electrical wiring, rubber/plastic tubing, tools, on-site construction, plumbing fittings and pipes, circuit boards, chemical baths, prototype parts, and custom part labeling for tool and die makers.
The permanent adhesive and lamination quality of the industrial supply is also available with the 3 of 9 bar code labeling process recently introduced by the company. Produced with a special cartridge in the Kroy DuraType 240 and DuraType 240 SE, the readable bar codes are less expensive to generate than other competitive bar code printers. Customers are attracted to the fact that the Kroy system and industrial supply can save them thousands of dollars over a PC-based bar code system.
Many users find the Kroy bar code product applicable for everything from in-store signage to employee name badges and time cards. They are especially pleased with the high resolution, versatility and highly consistent readability of the product.
Convenience of use and versatility are often cited as a strength of Kroy's lettering systems. When labeling wiring or other areas with a tight fit, the typestyle can be condensed horizontally or vertically to squeeze in a small space. Vertical print is another popular option for labeling electrical panels.
The DuraType 240 and 240 SE have a typewriter-style keyboard and a 16-character LCD for editing prior to printing. Both have a 260-character memory, repeat print up to 99 times and sequence numbers or letters. The DuraType 240 has 10 point Helvetica Medium built-in. The DuraType 240 SE has Helvetica Medium 10 and 24 point built-in as well as editing capability. Characters can be scaled 2x to 3x original size in both systems.
The new industrial supply is available in 50 foot 1/2-inch cartridges. The suggested retail price is $34.95. It is available in black lettering on clear tape, black on white, black on yellow, white on clear and white on black.
