KROGER TO AID GEORGIA TORNADO VICTIMS

 ATLANTA, Nov. 23 ~PRNewswire~ -- The Kroger Co. today announced a comprehensive effort to aid Atlantans devastated by the swarm of tornadoes that hit the state Sunday (Nov. 22).
 Effective immediately, all Kroger stores in the 18-county metro Atlanta area will serve as collection sites for donations of linens and non-perishable food items. The goods will be turned over by Kroger to the Atlanta Community Food Bank, Salvation Army and other local agencies for distribution to storm victims.
 Kroger also has made a donation of gift certificates to the American Red Cross for families affected by the storms.
 The Kroger Co.'s Atlanta Marketing Area operates a network of 121 stores employing more than 21,000 people in Georgia, South Carolina and Alabama. A member of the Atlanta community since 1937, The Kroger Co. supports a number of health and education initiatives under its Kroger 2000 community involvement program.
