KRG Capital Partners Completes Recapitalization of The Focus Corporation; 1st Platform for KRG's $715M Fund III.

DENVER -- KRG Capital Partners (KRG), a Denver-based private equity firm, is pleased to announce the recapitalization of The Focus Corporation (Focus), a multi-disciplinary consulting firm specializing in engineering, geomatics, planning, and project management services to clients primarily in the oil & gas, infrastructure and land development sectors. Focus will serve as KRG's 1st platform for its $715M Fund III.

Focus will continue to operate under its current brand and the head office will remain in Edmonton, Alberta, with support from 13 branch offices throughout Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan. "With this new partnership, we will also be actively considering our strategy for growth and investigating new opportunities."

Bow River Capital Partners was a co-investor in the deal. Harris Bank/Bank of Montreal, CIBC, and Freeport Financial provided the debt. Stikeman Elliot and Kirkland Ellis served as the legal advisors to KRG, and Fraser Milner served as legal advisor to Focus.
