KPRC Local 2 Anchor Wendy Corona to Announce Houston's 2006 Marketer of the Year September 13.


HOUSTON -- The Houston Chapter of the American Marketing Association The American Marketing Association, one of the largest professional associations for marketers, has 38,000 members worldwide in every area of marketing. The Marketer of the Year, a true icon of innovation, is a company, organization or institution that has distinguished itself through its market knowledge, leadership, objectives and execution.

In addition to recognizing the 2006 Marketer of the Year, AMA Houston will also award five scholarships to local-area college students. The scholarships, each in the amount of $500, will be presented to students who have demonstrated unparalleled accomplishment in the field of marketing.

Immediately prior to the presentation, KPRC Local 2 Anchor Wendy Corona, who recently relocated to Houston from Florida, will discuss how she was able to successfully introduce herself to one of America's most competitive news markets.

SPEAKER INFORMATION: Wendy Corona co-anchors KPRC Local 2 News at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. She joined the KPRC family in April 2006. Before joining KPRC, Wendy anchored the morning and noon news at sister station WPLG Local 10, the ABC ABC
