PESHAWAR, March 30, 2012 (Balochistan Times): Khyber Pakhtoonkhaw Minister for Technical Education and Mineral Development, Nawabzada Mehmood Zaib Khan said Thursday the people of Khyber Pakhtoonkhaw and Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) will depart for Ghari Khuda Bukhsh Bhutto in big caravans to pay homage to the charismatic leader and founder chairman of PPP, Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Shaheed on his 33rd death anniversary. Preparations is being finalized for this important event and people in delegations and caravans of busses, cars from districts and agencies headquarters of Fata will depart for Ghari Kuda Bukhsh to offer fateha for departed soul of Quaid e Awam on his 33rd martyrdom anniversary, he told. He said death anniversary of the former prime minister would be observed with great fervour and solemnity in KP and Fata. The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) KP and Fata chapters would arrange special programmes besides holding Quran Khawani and Fateha Khawani for the departed soul of Shaheed Z A Bhutto. Seminars, rallies, declamation contests, and workshops would be held to pay rich tributes to ZA Bhutto for his meritorious services for the socio-economic uplift of poorest of the poor, downtrodden, giving constitution, atomic programme to the nation and progress and prosperity of the country. He said Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Shaheed had given Pakistan 1973 constitution, atomic program and brought Pakistan and Muslim Ummah closer. The Minister said had Bhutto was alive today Pakistan would have achieved remarkable economic growth in Asia and made developed country of the world. Bhutto was martyred for assembling Muslim Ummah and Pakistan on a single platform, he remarked. The Minister said dictators come and go but vision and philosophy of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto lives forever. He said ZA Bhutto had rendered great sacrifices for promoting democracy and gave political wisdom and right of votes to people, farmers, labourers and marginalized communities. The fourth April will always be remembered as a black day in the history of Pakistan as on that day in 1979, a dictator tried to extinguish the flame of democracy, demolish rule of law, silence the voice of the poor, media and the dispossessed, and desecrated the Constitution of Pakistan. The constant struggle of Pakistan Peoples Party and its consistent sacrifices have proved that the seeds of the social democratic ideology and empowerment of masses sown by Shaheed Bhutto cannot be easily eliminated. Today, Pakistanis view dictators as evil, while the spirit of Shaheed Bhutto lives on through the 1973 Constitution drafted by PPP. He said amendments in Frontier Crimes Regulations (FCR) and extension of Political Parties Act was made by the present elected government in line with vision of the Shaheed Quaid.
