KOTANEELEE SETS PRODUCTION RECORD IN NOVEMBER
KOTANEELEE SETS PRODUCTION RECORD IN NOVEMBER CALGARY, Alberta, Jan. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Canada Southern Petroleum
Ltd. (Toronto, Pacific: CSW) today said last November's gas production at the Kotaneelee gas field, in the southeastern Yukon Territory, was a record 50.6 million cubic meters, as reported by a government agency earlier this month.
The company, which has a 30 percent carried interest in the field, said November production -- 59.9 million cubic feet per day, on average -- compares to an average output of 15.4 million cubic feet per day in the preceding month. A spokesman for the company said the November increase could reflect the beginning of deliveries to B.C. Gas Inc. under new, long-term contracts with three of the working-interest partners, which were reported in a Canadian trade journal last year. Kotaneelee, which had been shut-in since 1980, was put back in production last February. According to the spokesman, about two-thirds of the field's current output is coming from the YT I-48 well, which was successfully recompleted and returned to production at mid-summer. -0- 1/23/92 /CONTACT: Arthur B.
