 KODAK CONTRIBUTES $1,750,000
 TO TWO UNCF UNIVERSITIES
ROCHESTER, N.Y., March 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Eastman Kodak Company (NYSE: EK) has pledged $1 million to support Howard University and $750,000 to support North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University. Both grants are payable over the next 10 years.
The grant to Howard University is in addition to Kodak's current endowment support, as well as ongoing support of Kodak Scholars and Kodak Fellows. This year Howard is celebrating the 125th anniversary of its founding. The Kodak grant will be used to help strengthen its academic and research programs and its counseling and career service center.
The grant to North Carolina A&T is in addition to the company's present support of Kodak Scholars at the university. It will be used to establish an Eastman Kodak Company Teaching Excellence Award for the School of Engineering and to introduce Eastman Kodak Financial Awards.
"We would also like to further develop the working relationship between the department of chemical engineering at North Carolina A&T and our chemicals group headquartered in Kingsport, Tenn.," said Stanley C. Wright, director of Kodak's Corporate Contributions.
Both Howard University and North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University are United Negro College Fund universities.
