KLEIN NAMED PRESIDENT, GROUP W TELEVISION

 NEW YORK, Dec. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Jonathan Klein has been named president of Group W Television, effective Jan. 1, it was announced today by Bill Korn, president of Westinghouse Broadcasting Company (Group W).
 Prior to his appointment as president of Westinghouse Broadcasting on Dec. 10, Korn held the post now assumed by Klein.
 Most recently, Klein has been vice president and general manager of Group W television station KYW-TV in Philadelphia, an NBC affiliate.
 "Jonathan is the consummate professional, with an impressive record of success in virtually all areas of broadcasting," said Korn. "Broadcast television must face strong competitive challenges in the coming years. We are fortunate to have an individual with Jonathan's qualifications to lead us in that effort."
 Klein has enjoyed a long and successful career at Group W. Prior to assuming his post at KYW-TV in 1989, he was vice president and general manager of WJZ-TV in Baltimore, having been named to that position in 1986. Before that, he was vice president of sales and marketing for WBZ-TV, Group W's NBC affiliate in Boston.
 In his more than 20 years with the company, Klein has served as general sales manager of KDKA-TV, Pittsburgh, vice president and general manager of KDKA Radio, and sales manager at WBZ Radio in Boston. He began his career at Group W in 1969 as an account executive at WIND Radio in Chicago.
 A native of Brooklyn, N.Y., Klein holds a liberal arts degree from Shimer College in Illinois.
