KIWANIANS TAKE STUDENTS ON SHOPPING SPREE.Byline: Mark Kellam Twenty-five students from Napa Street Elementary in Northridge Northridge is the name of some places in the United States of America:
Club members helped the students select their gifts, which were purchased at the Kmart store on Plummer Street in Northridge. Each student got to buy a gift for themselves and presents for their immediate family. Some students also bought gifts for their teachers. After the gifts were purchased, the students and Kiwanians returned to Napa Elementary to wrap the gifts. The Northridge Kiwanis Club has been helping students at Napa Elementary with their holiday shopping for many years. The club raises funds for various community service projects through fundraising
One event coming up is the annual Kow Chip Bingo, to be held April 22 at Pierce College In 2006 the Library won a national Excellence award. Academics Pierce College offers associate's degrees, mainly in the arts and sciences. There are also certificate programs in early childhood education, social services, dental hygienist, and others. . It's held in conjunction with the college's annual Farm Walk. The Northridge Kiwanis Club meets at noon on Thursdays at the Orange Grove Bistro, on the corner of Nordhoff Street and Zelzah Avenue on the Cal State, Northridge campus.
