The only problem was that their inspirational freshness lasted just one period against the NHL's hottest team.

The Phoenix Coyotes The Phoenix Coyotes are a professional ice hockey team based in the Phoenix suburb of Glendale. The Kings lagged after killing a two-man advantage for 1:43 in the second period and never recovered. The Coyotes' Daniel Briere scored on the power play, at 3:13 of the second period, off a rebound that Jyrki Lumme Jyrki Olavi Lumme was born July 16, 1966 in Tampere, Finland. He was a defenceman in the National Hockey League from 1988 to 2003, drafted by the Montreal Canadiens in the 3rd round, 57th overall in 1986.  had shot from the blue line.

Although the Kings then were at full strength, it didn't help. The Coyotes added two more goals in the period and one more in the third.

The Kings looked like a different team, comparing the first and second periods. In the first period, they were aggressive and were tied with the Coyotes with eight shots. It features an introduction by Marc Eliot, a New York Times  and were outshot, 15-4.

After having a shutout one week ago, Storr's story was much different in his second game back from a strained groin. But Storr had to face 31 shots and the aggressive Coyotes.
