They set up different stations in the school gym, where 600 students passed through during the day. On 9 January the SAR crew flew their UH-3H Sea King to the Oak Harbor High School athletic field as part of a career fair. On board were LCdrs. Geoff Grindeland and Pete Field, AMS1 Marty Crews, AEl Mike Conroy, AC1 George Turner, AD2 Chad Rines and Mazer. Crew members showed students around the helicopter and gave presentations on air traffic control, electronics and engine mechanics, demonstrating the future has unlimited possibilities. |
