KIDS/SNEAK PEEK : TEDDY WANTS SPARE BEARS.

They're cute. They're crunchy. They come in four flavors. And they look like teddy bears. What are they? Teddy Grahams Teddy Grahams are bear shaped graham cracker snacks created by Nabisco. Although they have had many incarnations since their 1988 release, including a cereal and the short lived Dizzy Grizzlies, the main flavors have always included cinnamon, honey, and chocolate. . And they're back on shelves after a brief hiatus.

To publicize their return and also help needy children, the Nabisco-owned Teddy Grahams has launched a nationwide drive to collect teddy bears to give to kids during the holidays this year.

Teddy bears are being collected now through Sept. 30. Consumers may send a new or used bear in excellent condition to: Teddy Grahams' Teddy Bear Drive, P.O. Box 311, Parsippany, N.J. 07054-0311. Every donor will receive a Teddy Grahams coupon.

Bear on the road

Disney Channel's ``On the Road With Bear in the Big Blue House Bear in the Big Blue House is a television program for young children produced for the Disney Channel by The Jim Henson Company. The program taught simple life lessons by following the title character and his puppet friends as they went through their day. ,'' a free live stage show, comes to the Glendale Galleria The Glendale Galleria is a large 3 story regional shopping mall located in Glendale, Los Angeles County, California. It is the second largest mall in Los Angeles County. It is located in Downtown Glendale.  for performances today, Saturday and Sunday.

Kids and their folks also may visit a replica of the Big Blue House, where they can sing, dance and play with Bear; mischievous otters Pip and Pop; Tutter the industrious mouse; the highly excitable excitable /ex·ci·ta·ble/ (ek-sit´ah-b'l) irritable (1).

Music and stories

Children ages 18 months to 7 years and their parents are invited to attend ``Kindermusik,'' a musical story time offered at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Barnes & Noble Booksellers in Northridge.

Guests will listen to specially selected children's books, sing songs and play quality children's instruments.

Go fly a kite

Children ages 6 and older are invited to participate in ``Flying High,'' a program that features kite-making and storytelling at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Glendale Public Library The Glendale Public Library is located in Glendale, California, and serves a diverse community of over 200,000 people. GPL has a total of 6 branches (a 7th branch is slated to open in 2007) in addition to the large Central Library, including the unique Brand Library and Art Center. .

Barney's world

The world's most famous purple dinosaur and his pals make new friends when they travel to Canada, France and Mexico to find Stella the Storyteller's missing suitcase in the new video ``What a World We Share!''

During their travels, the group learns some important lessons about manners and sharing from a French magician, a Canadian Mountie and a Mexican pinata maker.

The 50-minute video includes 14 songs, such as ``Stone Soup.'' It will be in stores Tuesday for a list price of $14.95.
