Those irreverent babies with their own unique points of view have put together an act and they're taking it on the road.

Tommy, Angelica, Chucky and the gang - collectively known as the Rugrats - are coming to town in the stage show ``Rugrats - A Live Adventure.''

All your favorite characters will be entertaining you - in person - in this stage musical based on the popular TV series on Nickelodeon.

The musical opens March 25 at the Universal Amphitheatre, with additional performances March 26, 27 and 28. Tickets are $20, $28 and $33. Ticketmaster: [phone].

Mickey and you

Calling kids of all ages. How would you like Mickey Mouse and his friends to visit your hometown? Disney and Wal-Mart want you to write an essay explaining why your hometown has the ``Spirit of Mickey.''

Submissions will be taken at Wal-Mart stores across the country March 1-31. Prizes will be awarded to first-, second- and third-place winners.

Bug appetit

Naturalist David George Gordon likes bugs. Really likes bugs. In fact, he cooks and eats them.

Gordon will be sharing recipes from his book ``The Eat-a-Bug Cookbook,'' and also entertaining his audience with the historic global practice of bug eating - known as entomophagy - at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Natural History Museum.

Sea treasures

Learn how sea creatures survive in a sometimes wet and dry habitat during two sets of preschool classes called ``Tide Pool Treasures.''

Adult partners and their 3-year-olds meet from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday and Feb. 6. Four-year-olds and their adult partners meet from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Saturday and Feb. 6 at the Natural History Museum.

Super Bowl weekend

To celebrate the annual Super Bowl game, Nickelodeon has specials planned just for kids. At 8 tonight, the show ``KABLAM!'' finds action figures Meltman, Stinky Diver and others trying to save a group of NFL quarterbacks from a villainous mayor seeking revenge after being kicked out of a game.

Guest voices for the quarterbacks include John Elway, Troy Aikman, Kordell Stewart and Brett Favre.

Then at 9 p.m. Saturday, Nickelodeon's Sports Theater With Shaquille O'Neal shares the story of a teen who dreams of becoming an NFL football player.
