KIDS/SNEAK PEEK; NEW 'BABYSCAPES' VIDEOS ARE AVAILABLE THIS MONTH.Byline: Nancy Hewitt Young children are like sponges; they absorb just about everything, including language. Toddlers are especially absorbant because they are just learning how to express themselves verbally. For parents wanting their child to learn another language, this is an opportune time. And now there are videos available for just that. ``Babyscapes'' Educational Video Series will be releasing its third and fourth videos Tuesday. The titles include ``Miracle of Mozart, Teaching Your Child Numbers & Shapes in Spanish'' for youngsters 8 months to 5 years old and ``Miracle of Mozart, Teaching Your Child ABCs in Spanish!'' for children 18 months to 5 years old. Most child development experts agree that the first year of life is the most crucial for developing the brain and that's why infants need a lot of different stimulation, Keri adds. So, not finding what they wanted, she and Steve decided to create their own videos. The first video, ``Baby's Smart Start,'' for kids 3 months to 5 years, was released in 1996. This video emphasizes black, white and red images set to classical music. Video two - ``Celebration of Color'' for ages 8 months to 5 years - followed in 1998. Its focus is on primary colors those developed from the solar beam by the prism, viz., red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet, which are reduced by some authors to three, - red, green, and violet-blue. These three are sometimes called fundamental colors. See under Color. See also: Color Primary , also set to classical music. By the third video, the Manns decided to use the music of Mozart exclusively, having experimented with Brahms, Beethoven, Grieg, Bach and others on their first two tapes. ``(We discovered) Mozart aids in receptivity and retention,'' Keri says. The couple also discovered that there is a demand for Spanish language Spanish language, member of the Romance group of the Italic subfamily of the Indo-European family of languages (see Romance languages). ''Not only for English speakers but for Spanish speakers, too.'' But right now the emphasis is on the young ones. ``A baby can learn two or three languages by the time it's 3,'' he adds.
