KEVIN J. O'NEIL NAMED EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT AND CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER OF STANDARD MORTGAGE CORPORATION OF GEORGIA

 JOHNSTOWN, Pa., June 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Patrick J. Coyne, president and chief executive officer of Johnstown Savings Bank (NASDAQ: JSBK) and chairman, president and chief executive officer of Standard Mortgage Corporation of Georgia, has announced the appointment of Kevin J. O'Neil as executive vice


president and chief operating officer of Standard Mortgage Corporation of Georgia, a wholly owned subsidiary of Johnstown Savings Bank, effective June 1, 1993.
 O'Neil has more than 30 years' experience in the mortgage banking and mortgage lending fields and most recently served as president and chief executive officer of Embanque Capital Corporation, New York, N.Y. He previously held positions as president and chief executive officer of Goldome Realty Credit Corporation, Buffalo, N.Y., and NVR Mortgage L.P., McLean, Va.
 The Buffalo native holds a bachelor of arts degree from Canisius College, Buffalo, and a master's degree in business administration from Harvard University, Boston. He also attended the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Business School.
 O'Neil has been a member of the Board of Governors of the Mortgage Bankers Association of America, the Advisory Board of PMI Mortgage Insurance Company, and the Advisory Board of Residential Funding Corporation.
 O'Neil and his wife, Barbara, will be relocating to the Atlanta area from Virginia.
 Johnstown Savings Bank is a FDIC-insured savings bank which conducts its business through six offices in the Greater Johnstown area and through its wholly owned subsidiary, Standard Mortgage Corporation of Georgia, located in Atlanta.
