KENWOOD U.S.A. CORP. TO EXHIBIT TOUR DE FORCE AT THE TOYOTA GRAND PRIX OF LONG BEACH, APRIL 10-12

KENWOOD U.S.A. CORP. TO EXHIBIT TOUR DE FORCE
AT THE TOYOTA GRAND PRIX OF LONG BEACH, APRIL 10-12
Sporting 16 wheels and weighing in at 80,000 pounds, the Tour de Force -- Kenwood's new customized informational theatre and showroom exhibit -- won't set out to take the checkered flag at the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach, but it is certain to steal the show at the event's Motorsports Expo.
The Tour de Force (literally meaning, "A Great Performance") mobile surround-sound theatre makes its Southern California debut at the race following crowd-pleasing appearances in Florida and Maryland. The highly customized vehicle's appearance in Long Beach also marks the inaugural event of the Trans Am racing season and highlights Kenwood's association with the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA).
According to Kenwood Senior Vice President Dan Petersen, "We are pairing Kenwood's most ambitious promotional undertaking with one of the most prestigious and exciting racing events in the world.
"The Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach is the perfect event to introduce Tour de Force to Southern California."
The Tour de Force will make an appearance at nearly all SCCA scheduled Trans Am races for the 1992 racing season.
Kenwood is also the official car audio sponsor of the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach.
Kenwood's Tour de France will be on display at the Motorsports Expo inside the Long Beach Convention Center during the entire race weekend, April 10-12 from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m., Sunday until 5 p.m.
