 KEMPER FINANCIAL SERVICES NAMES CHAPMAN HEAD OF CENTRAL MARKETING
 CHICAGO, July 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Kemper Financial Services, Inc. (KFS) today announced the promotion of William E. Chapman II to serve as director of the company's central marketing department.
 Chapman, a senior vice president, succeeds Stephen E. Gibson. Chapman's new responsibilities include all retail product marketing activities for Kemper mutual funds and money market funds.
 Since joining KFS in 1990, Chapman, 50, has been responsible for directing marketing activities for the company's retirement plan marketing department. He will continue to oversee this area in addition to his new responsibilities.
 "Bill's significant contributions marketing Kemper's mutual funds and insurance products to the retirement market dramatically increased our qualified plan business," said KFS Senior Executive Vice President Richard Redeker. "We are delighted to have an individual of his caliber, who has more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, manage the company's marketing efforts."
 Prior to joining KFS, Chapman was employed with the Connecticut General Life Insurance Co. (CIGNA), where he was senior vice president of CIGNA Investments, Inc. and president of CIGNA Asset Advisors and CIGNA Capital Brokerage, Inc. At CIGNA, Chapman was responsible for investment management sales to large corporate and public pension plans, financial institutions and individual markets. Prior to that, he was president and chief executive officer of CIGNA Financial Partners, Inc. and CIGNA Securities, Inc. Chapman began his career with CIGNA in 1967 in the group pension sales area.
 Chapman is a 1963 graduate of Bowdoin College, Brunswick, Maine. In 1989, he attended the Stanford Business School International Investment Programme at the London Business School. He is a member of the board of regents of the College for Financial Planning and holds chartered life underwriter and certified employee benefit specialist designations.
