KDDI Announces Start of GLOBAL PASSPORT International Data Roaming Services in Indonesia.

 Newswire) - KDDI and Okinawa Cellular are pleased to announce the July 20 addition of international data roaming The ability to use a communications device such as a cellphone or PDA and be able to move from one cell or access point to another without losing the connection.  services to voice roaming services in Indonesia for users of GLOBAL PASSPORT, the international roaming service offered by KDDI that enables au mobile handsets used in Japan to be used without modification overseas.

GLOBAL PASSPORT voice roaming services will now be available in 11 countries and territories overall, including the United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America. The United States is the world's third largest country in population and the fourth largest country in area. , Hawaii, China, South Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, Canada, Guam, Saipan and India.

Customers using handsets enabled for data roaming services, will now be able to exchange e-mail and access the Web, in addition to voice-call services currently offered in India, simply by updating to the latest PRL PRL - Proof Refinement Logic.

Versions: micro-PRL, lambda-PRL, nu-PRL.
