Traveling across the country with his NASCAR teams, Kahne gets an opportunity to visit places he wouldn't otherwise get a chance to visit. ``I see some of it sometimes, but a lot of time we're so busy at the race track with either Busch or Cup or both I don't get to see as much,'' said Kahne, driver of the No. 9 Dodge for Evernham Motorsports. ``I need to see a little bit more, but I enjoy racing so on the race weekends, that's all I'm thinking about.'' It was sort of a homecoming for Kahne, who is from Enumclaw, Wash. Fontana and Sonoma are about as close as he gets to his hometown to race these days. ``I always enjoy going to the West Coast because that's where I'm from. Other than that, I enjoy everywhere,'' Kahne said. ``We tested at Sears Point last week and went out to wine country and Napa Valley out there. It's really nice out there, a little different than the Midwest and other parts of the country.'' |
