Just in Time for the Holidays ... Playboy Playmate Carrie Stevens Announces Launch of CARRIECARES.COM.

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 27 /PRNewswire/ --

Playboy Playmate Carrie Stevens is proud to announce the launch of her new online internet support group on Thursday, November 24. CARRIECARES.COM is a non-profit, online grief support group offering support for young bereaved persons.

The mission of CARRIECARES.COM is to provide friendship and guidance to people who have lost a loved one. The site is intended for young persons but does not exclude anyone who has lost a loved one, is ill, or needs a friend. "The unique voice of the entertainment industry and the internet will enable us to educate people on self-healing and communicate compassion," says Founder Carrie Stevens.

In addition to nurturing friendships, the site will have celebrity involvement including chats with celebrities and inspirational guests. Some of the celebrities who will be recommending books and offering encouraging words include actresses Angelica Bridges, Rachel Hunter, Jamie Bergman and Victoria Silvstedt as well as musicians Bruce Kulick and Bobby Rock.

The catalyst for the site was Stevens' friend and lover, Eric Carr, deceased drummer of the rock band KISS. After his passing, Stevens found it difficult to find support and understanding while in her bereavement. She believes CARRIECARES.COM will help people understand the loss they are experiencing and inspire them to go on with their own lives, as she has. The site was launched on the ninth anniversary of Carr's passing, November 24, 2000, in his honor.

There are a strong group of players behind CARRIECARES.COM. Founder Carrie Stevens is Playboy Magazines' Miss June 1997 and has a long list of film and television credits. Carrie will have a featured role in the upcoming Warner Bros. film ROCK STAR co-starring Mark Wahlberg and Jennifer Aniston. In addition to this, Carrie has four other films set for future release including GHOST OF A CHANCE (with Scott Bakula) and JACK OF ALL TRADES (with Antonio Sabato, Jr.).

Stevens is also an accomplished television actress and personality. Her television appearances include "Beverly Hills 90210," "Pacific Blue," "Days of Our Lives," and a recurring role on the upcoming series "Black Scorpion." As a guest host, Stevens has been featured on the E! Entertainment Television programs "Wild on Summer Vacation," "Celebrity Homes," and "Playmates of the 1970's," among others.

Eloise Pon is the Managing Director of CARRIECARES.COM. Pon, a close friend of Stevens, has experience in the online industry with her own e-commerce web-site.

Working as a volunteer consultant on CARRIECARES.COM is Arlene Leshtz, B.A. Among Leshtz' many professional credits she is Senior Research Assistant at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago.

The Public Relations and Marketing advisor for CARRIECARES.COM is Cindy Rakowitz. Rakowitz is the President of Playboy Playmate Promotions and Vice President of Public Relations and Promotions for Playboy Enterprises, INC. (NYSE: PLA)

Legal council for CARRIECARES.COM is Diana L. Fitzgerald. Currently, Fitzgerald is General Council and Executive Vice-President of Business Affairs for Electronic Icons.com and its subsidiaries.

Internet users will also be able to access CARRIECARES.COM through the web site www. Cyber.Playboy.com.
