Just for fun, let's go back to the future.

Byline: BUZZWORTHY by The Register-Guard

Wazzup? Did somebody declare this Oldies But Goodies Week and forget to tell us? Or are we just imagining that our immediate future includes many backward-looking events?

The Eugene Chamber Choir has its 25th anniversary concert at 7:30 tonight at St. Mary's Episcopal Church.

The Eugene Concert Choir will sing Giuseppe Verdi's Requiem (1874) at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Hult.

Madeline L'Engle's fantasy-adventure classic "A Wrinkle in Time" (1962 ) will pop through a wormhole into your TV set at 8 p.m. Monday on ABC.

After 11 seasons and way too many Emmys, "Frasier" will have its last laughs at 9 p.m. Thursday on NBC.

That same night, right here in downtown Eugene, the Dark Star Orchestra will re-create an entire show by a well known band that's been Dead for several years.

Speaking of things that never die, ex-X-Man Hugh Jackman will battle Dracula, his brides and other night frights as "Van Helsing," opening today at Cinema World and Cinemark. Will all the popcorn be served with garlic butter?

Speaking of neck-biters, if you're one of those guys who fell in love with Isabelle Adjani's neck in the 1979 German remake of "Nosferatu" - Klaus Kinski obviously did, and probably Roger Ebert, too - she's back as an actress who will do anything to get ahead and stay alive during the German occupation of Paris in "Bon Voyage," opening today at the Bijou Art Cinemas.

And speaking of alarming creatures who seem to have been around forever and won't go away, the Olsen sisters, who are twins but don't want you to know that, will complicate Eugene Levy's life - or is it the other way around - in "New York Minute," also opening at Cinemark and Cinema World.

Finally, for aficionados who know a timeless guitar great when they hear one, Adrian Legg will finger-pick and deadpan at Cafe Paradiso at 8 p.m. Thursday.
