:JWEB) today announced the launch of a co-branded version of AOL Instant Messenger See AIM. (SM) (AIM) for Juno users.

The new co-branded Juno Instant Messenger AOL's instant messaging service. See AIM and instant messaging.  enables Juno subscribers to chat in real time with other Juno members, AOL (A division of Time Warner, Inc., New York, NY, www.aol.com) The world's largest online information service with access to the Internet, e-mail, chat rooms and a variety of databases and services.  members, AIM members, and other Internet users. All users can create &uot;buddy&uot; lists that allow them to see if their friends and family are online and communicate with them instantly.

The Juno Instant Messenger can be downloaded for free from Juno's portal site Noun 1. portal site - a site that the owner positions as an entrance to other sites on the internet; "a portal typically has search engines and free email and chat rooms etc. , www.juno.com. Juno also plans to distribute the software along with its own software in the future.

Juno intends to promote instant messaging Exchanging text messages in real time between two or more people logged into a particular instant messaging (IM) service. Instant messaging is more interactive than e-mail because messages are sent immediately, whereas e-mail messages can be queued up in a mail server for seconds or  to its membership over the next several months through prominent links on its Web site and in the bimonthly bi·month·ly
