(Nasdaq:JNPR) today announced software integration enhancements for its Secure Access SSL VPN and Intrusion Detection and Prevention (IDP) appliances to provide coordinated threat control for remote employee and partner access. The Secure Access SSL VPN's IVE 5.3 release combined with the IDP 3.2R2 release delivers on Juniper's Enterprise Infranet strategy to give customers secure and assured application delivery with new identity-based threat prevention technology. This technology enables the two appliances to tie session identity of the SSL VPN with the threat detection capabilities of IDP to protect against both network- and application-layer threats.

Juniper's new offering combines two award-winning platforms for a solution that is unique in the market. Network administrators can leverage the new Secure Access SSL VPN software and IDP software to reliably identify the source of an attack and respond to the security event by not only blocking attacks before they reach their targets, but also by taking action against the source of the attack, such as quarantining or disabling the user's account. The offering also provides unmatched visibility into user behavior and security events with detailed identity, endpoint and application usage logging for mitigation, auditing and compliance.
