On West Timmins Mining's Highway 144 property, Goldcorp Canada, their project partner, encountered gold mineralization in three of seven drill holes. One drill hole intersected an eight-metre zone which averaged 1.05 grams per tonne tonne measure of weight or mass; 1 tonne=1000 kg. See also ton. gold, including 1.09 metres grading 3.39 g/t gold. After drilling on their Wakemac property, one hole returned a high grade interval of 21.20 g/t gold over 0.85 metres. On their Allerston property, a number of new zones of gold mineralization have also been intersected. Drilling continues on the Thorne and Beach Properties, including additional testing of the 4800 Zone within the Golden River Trend on the Thorne Property. "We are pleased with the initial results of the current drill program on the West Timmins Project," says company president Darin Wagner in a Jan. 18 statement.
