Junior miner excited about first phase drill results.

Laurion Mineral Exploration reports strong copper and zinc values on its Enid-Massey Project near Timmins.

In January, the Toronto-based junior miner wrapped up the first phase of exploration on its property located 40 kilometres northwest of the city

Among the highlights were 36 kilometres of geophysical surveys Geophysical survey refers to the systematic collection of geophysical data for spatial studies. Geophysical surveys may use a great variety of sensing instruments, and data may be collected from above or below the Earth's surface or from aerial or marine platforms.  and 11 drill holes of more than 1,526 metres combined.

One drill hole returned values of 0.95 per cent zinc over 2.8 metres on their Santrap Grid.

The company says the iron sulphides and base metals show zones similar to Kidd Creek-type environments.

As a result of the drilling program, the company has staked an additional 82 claim units to accommodate the potential strike length.

Their winter exploration program will include additional line cutting as well as electromagnetic electromagnetic /elec·tro·mag·net·ic/ (-mag-net´ik) involving both electricity and magnetism.
