June 23: New York March and Rally Before United Nations AIDS Session.Dozens of organizations have called for a march and rally in New York on June 23, just before the United Nations General Assembly United Nations General Assembly: see United Nations. Special Session on AIDS (UNGASS UNGASS - United Nations General Assembly Special Session). Some international delegates and organizers who have traveled to New York for the United Nations session are planning to join the march. Sponsors include the African Services Committee, Bailey House, Global AIDS Alliance (GAA GAA - Gaelic Athletic Association GAA - Gain Adjuster Adapter GAA - Galvanizers Association of Australia, Ltd. (Melbourne) GAA - Gastroenterology Administration Assembly (Medical Group Management Association) GAA - Gateway Access Authorization GAA - Gay Activists Alliance GAA - General Account of Advances GAA - General Agency Agreement GAA - General Appropriation Act GAA - General Average Agreement GAA - Georgia Alternate Assessment), Health GAP Coalition, and ACT UP New York -- in cooperation with NAPWA NAPWA - National Association of People with AIDS (since 1983; Washington, DC) NAPWA - North American Police Work Dog Association South Africa, and the Treatment Action Campaign (TAC) in South Africa. Endorsers include many other AIDS, international, and social-justice organizations.
