See Board of directors. at their spring meeting. Chosen to receive the annual Juliette A. Southard/Oral-B Scholarships were ten students from around the nation. Each year, several scholarships are awarded to students enrolled in a dental assisting program or applicable courses aimed at furthering a career in dental assisting. All awardees are members of the ADAA. The Juliette B. Southard/Oral-B Scholarship program, named for the founder of the ADAA, is supported by a grant from Oral-B Laboratories, ADAA and volunteer donations. Established in 1929, the program awards scholarships in varying amounts. Candidates are considered on the basis of academic achievement, ability and interest in the career of dental assisting. The ADAA wishes to thank Oral-B Laboratories for its support of this program and other professional activities. Some of this year's winners are pictured above.
