Julien Studley launches new city consulting firm.


Real estate icon Julien J. Studley announced the formation of Studley New Vista Associates, an organization dedicated to real estate investment and development, as well as projects involving affordable housing in New York City and New York State.

The firm is headquartered at 505 Park Avenue in Manhattan. Mr. Studley will also provide advisory services to owners and developers through another entity.

In addition, the offices will serve as headquarters for The Julien J. Studley Foundation. Mr. Studley will remain heavily focused on supporting the not-for-profit groups he has been involved with as either a board member, officer or supporter over the last decade.

The organizations include New School University New School University, in New York City; coeducational; chartered and opened 1919 as the New School for Social Research, a center for adult education, renamed 1997. Founded by Charles Beard, Thorstein Veblen, John Dewey, and others, it originally emphasized classes for adults and became known for programs in social science, the humanities, and public policy. Its curriculum now is dominated by diverse arts education programs., the CUNY Graduate Center Foundation, Baruch College and the Steven L. Newman Real Institute, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, in central Manhattan, New York City, between 62d and 66th streets W of Broadway. Lincoln Center is a complex of many buildings, including the Metropolitan Opera, Avery Fisher Hall, the New York State Theater, the Juilliard School (including Alice Tully Hall for recitals and a chamber music hall), the Vivian Beaumont Theater, the Library-Museum of the Performing Arts, the Guggenheim Bandshell in Damrosch Park, and several, the Film Society of Lincoln Center, Palladia (formerly Project Return), The Vanaver Caravan, SUNY New Paltz and the Youth Center of New Paltz, NY.

Mr. Studley's more than 50 year career in commercial real estate has made him legendary in New York City real estate circles. He sold the commecial real estate services firm he founded in 1954, Julien J. Studley, Inc. (Studley), in 2003. As chairman & chief executive of Studley, he was credited with establishing the first tenant representation firm. Studley New Vista Associates management team is led by Mr. Studley. He is joined by Donald Schnabel, Stan Kovak and Marion Rios, all previously of Studley.
