Julie Jacobs Joins Clinical Trial Services (CTS) as Director of Clinical Services; New Director Brings 16 Years of Experience in the Area of Clinical Supplies.

DURHAM, N.C. -- Clinical trial supply management firm CTS (www.cts-global.com) has hired Julie Jacobs, R.Ph., as the Director of Clinical Services in the Durham, North Carolina office. In this role Ms. Jacobs will be responsible for directing a team of project managers and project coordinators who manage all aspects of packaging and distributing clinical supplies for clinical trials.

Ms. Jacobs joins CTS from GlaxoSmithKline, where she served as Manager, Clinical Trial Supply Projects. In that position she supervised the day-to-day activities of clinical supplies project leaders, developed and implemented process improvement initiatives, and trained new personnel.

"With over 16 years of experience in the industry, Julie brings knowledge of the inner workings of our business," said CTS vice president Donna Christopher, R.Ph. Prior to her career at Glaxo, Ms. Jacobs worked as a clinical pharmacist at Duke University Medical Center. She is a Registered Pharmacist with both the Michigan and North Carolina Boards of Pharmacy.

Ms. Jacobs graduated from the University of Michigan College of Pharmacy, where she received a B.S. in Pharmacy. She also completed the American Society of Hospital Pharmacists Residency Program at the Duke University Medical Center.
