Juke Joint jumps early for jobsters.

Byline: The Register-Guard

There's great news for those among you who don't like to stay up late but do like to go out and listen to live music.

Earl's Juke Joint in Junction City Junction City, city (1990 pop. 20,604), seat of Geary co., NE Kans., at the confluence of the Republican and Smoky Hill rivers; inc. 1859. The rail, trade, and processing center of an agricultural and dairy area, it grew as the supply point for nearby Fort Riley,  is having a pre-grand opening Saturday at 8:30 p.m., but the Joint's weekday shows will start at 7 p.m. - early enough to allow you to catch some sleep before putting in your 9-to-5.

You'll have a chance to see how Kelynski's Sports Pub has been transformed with what a news release calls a new stage, paint job, ventilation system ventilation system Public health An air system designed to maintain negative pressure and exhaust air properly, to minimize the spread of TB and other respiratory pathogens in a health care facility , menu and attitude.

Saturday's party will include a jam session with local musicians Peter Giri GIRI Guide d'Initiation à la Recherche dans l'Internet (French: Guide of Essential Internet Research)

The CD is really all over the map, with Ukranian punk ballads, Italian opera The opera company which was commonly referred to as "The Italian Opera" performed at Her Majesty's Theatre in Haymarket until 1847 and from then on at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden, London

Local lads Mat Kearney Mat Kearney (['kɑrni']) (born December 1, 1978) is an American singer-songwriter born in Eugene, Oregon, now based in Nashville, Tennessee.  and Justin King will team up for about 20 shows in the next month, including one in Kearney's adopted hometown of Nashville, Tenn. The son of a Eugene preacherwoman and the son of Eugene a winemaker will be in Eugene for a Thursday show at the WOW Hall.

Kearney's CD, "Nothing Left to Lose," came out the same day Tom Cruise's daughter Suri did: April 18.

And if Cruise's behaviors in his personal life - his couch jumping and anti-depressant bashing - haven't turned you completely off, there's a chance to see his latest blockbuster today with "Mission: Impossible III."

Roger Ebert gave this one 2 1/2 stars, down a half from the ratings for the first two. As Ebert points out in his review, either you want to see mindless action or you don't.

Or you're too irritated with Cruise to get past it and enjoy all the action.
