Judicial launches commercial division.

The Judicial Title Insurance Agency LLC, recognized for decades as a dominant firm in the residential sector in the New York metro area, has established a division to focus on title insurance for commercial transactions, announces Richard Giliotti, president and chief operating officer.

"Despite being known primarily for title insurance on single- and two-family homes and apartments, some 20 percent of our business has been in commercial property transactions, and the time has come to formalize our commitment to that sector," Mr. Giliotti says.

The commercial division, which handles title insurance on multi-family apartment buildings as well as on office, retail and industrial property, is based in the firm's Manhattan office at 888 Seventh Avenue. The enhanced commercial staff there now includes industry veterans Theresa Odessa, Pia Freudenthal, Keith Lulewich, Ruth Meinikoff and Alison Sass.

Judicial, the largest title insurance agency in the East, with more than 100 employees and nine staff attorneys, recently expanded and relocated its home office to 800 Westchester Avenue, a major corporate center in the town of Rye Brook in Westchester County.
