Judging Jones.

Your January 16 issue has finally gone too far. Are you seriously trying to sell me on Mike Jones as a gay hero ["People of the Year: The Whistle-blowers"]? The same man who was a drug dealer and a prostitute prostitute n. a person who receives payment for sexual intercourse or other sexual acts, generally as a regular occupation. Although usually a prostitute refers to a woman offering sexual favors to men, male prostitutes may perform homosexual acts for money or ? While I respect Mr. Jones's choice in standing up against hypocrisy Hypocrisy

for gay rights, I do not feel that this makes him a hero by any means. Ted Haggard Ted Arthur Haggard (June 27, 1956) is a former American evangelical preacher. Known as Pastor Ted to the congregations he has served, he is the founder and former pastor of the New Life Church in Colorado Springs, Colorado; a founder of the Association of Life-Giving  dedicated his life to delivering millions of people to Christ; regardless of his sin or his views on gay rights, he is a man I highly respect.

How can The Advocate choose to print material to expose hypocrisy when you yourselves are hypocrites? You are promoting an unworthy man's life choices as a hero over another man's choice to teach love? Should I quit my successful job and start selling myself and drugs to be a gay hero? Maybe I will get lucky and have sex with a senator, pop star, or some other famous individual so that I can expose them on my blog blog, short for web log, an online, regularly updated journal or newsletter that is readily accessible to the general public by virtue of being posted on a website. . Wouldn't that be great for me, to be an instant celebrity? I am sure selling my story will be just as lucratire as it was for Mr. Jones.
