Jsow datalink tests positive.

Raytheon, together with the US Navy and Air Force, demonstrated a communication suite, featuring a weapon datalink and a new air-to-ground message set, that is designed to enhance the operation of Raytheon's Joint Standoff Weapon (Jsow). Through the use of US government-provided command and control nodes the Weapon Data Link Network (WDLN) Advanced Concept Technology Demonstration (ACTD) is designed to evaluate a standard weapons communications architecture and also serve as a risk reduction pathfinder for future datalink concepts. The incorporation of a datalink capability in the Jsow will allow in-flight relay of the missile's status and allow in-flight target updates. Raytheon is currently under contract to provide the Jsow to the US Navy, Marine Corps and Air Force.
