Joseph Iacobucci, 86.

SOUTHBRIDGE Joseph Iacobucci, 86, of Southbridge, died Saturday, February 2, 2008, at the Radius Healthcare Center in Southbridge, following a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Clara A. (Bernardone) Iacobucci who died in 1997.

He is survived by two sons, Dean J. Iacobucci and his wife Sherry L. of East Brookfield, and Peter A. Iacobucci of Southbridge; four grandchildren, Anthony P. and Francesca A. Iacobucci, both of Woodstock, CT, and Danielle L. and Nicholas D. Iacobucci, both of East Brookfield; and two step-grandchildren, Allyson J. and Sarah C. Stanhope, both of East Brookfield.

He was born in Bolognano, Italy, and was the son of the late Luigi and Lucia Iacobucci.

Mr. Iacobucci worked as a foreman and supervisor for Gilbaine Construction in Rhode Island and Granger Construction in Worcester for many years. He was a member of the Italian Club in Southbridge, and the Massachusetts Laborers Union. He was also an avid gardener and wine maker.

His funeral will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2008, at 11:00 AM at the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton Street, Southbridge. Burial will follow at St. Marys Cemetery in Southbridge. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 9:00 to 11:00 AM, prior to the service.
