Joseph Brandon to Take Helm At General Re as Chairman-CEO.


General Re Corp. said Joseph P. Brandon, executive vice president, has succeeded Ronald E. Ferguson as chief executive officer, effective Oct. 1.

Brandon also has been tapped to assume Ferguson's role as chairman when Ferguson retires from that post in June 2002.
