Jones Lang LaSalle Jones Lang LaSalle (NYSE: JLL) is a major real estate and money management services firm headquartered in the Aon Center in Chicago, Illinois and the only company in its industry making it into Fortune magazine's list of the 100 Best Places to Work in the U.S.  has promoted Bart Steinfeld, head of the company's U.S. real estate investment banking group, to the position of international director. Steinfeld was one of 26 Jones Lang LaSalle executives who were named international directors this year.

Steinfeld, 51, was previously a managing director of the real estate investment banking group, part of Jones Lang LaSalle's Capital Markets Group. He specializes in raising equity and debt for real estate owners and developers, and has expertise in a broad range of structured financings in both the public and private markets. Prior to joining Jones Lang LaSalle in 2003, Steinfeld was a co-founder and principal of Apogee apogee (ăp`əjē), point farthest from the earth in the orbit of a body about the earth. See apsis.

Earlier, he served with Nomura Securities International as a director with its commercial real estate group, heading the financial institutions group and focusing on loan originations with U.S. and Japanese commercial banks. Previously, he was a senior banker and COO of CS First Boston's real estate products group. He practiced law briefly at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton.
