Jones Day Welcomes IP Litigation Partner Eric Namrow in D.C.

 and counselor Eric S. Namrow has joined the Washington office of international law firm Jones Day as a partner.

Mr. Namrow has handled jury and nonjury trials in courts throughout the U.S. in all areas of intellectual property, including patents, trademark and trade dress, copyright, trade secret misappropriation misappropriation n. the intentional, illegal use of the property or funds of another person for one's own use or other unauthorized purpose, particularly by a public official, a trustee of a trust, an executor or administrator of a dead person's estate, or by any , and unfair competition. He has also handled appeals to the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the Fourth Circuit, as well as state supreme courts, and he is experienced in a broad range of technologies and industries, including chemical, biochemical, pharmaceutical, electrical, mechanical, and computer science.

In addition, Mr. Namrow has appeared extensively before the International Trade Commission in Section 337 proceedings on behalf of both complainants and respondents, and he regularly counsels international companies on ITC ITC (Brit) n abbr (= Independent Television Commission) → Fernseh-Aufsichtsgremium

Formerly a partner in Venable LLC's Washington office, Mr. Namrow received his B.A. from Bucknell University in 1989, his M.Phil. from Oxford University in 1993, and his J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law University of Maryland School of Law is a law school located in downtown Baltimore, Maryland. It is part of the University of Maryland, Baltimore. Established in 1816, it opened in 1823 as the Maryland Law Institute, making it one of the oldest law schools in the country.  in 1996.
