Jones Day Welcomes IP Litigation Partner Eric Namrow in D.C.

WASHINGTON -- Intellectual property litigator and counselor Eric S. Namrow has joined the Washington office of international law firm Jones Day as a partner.

Mr. Namrow has handled jury and nonjury trials in courts throughout the U.S. in all areas of intellectual property, including patents, trademark and trade dress, copyright, trade secret misappropriation, and unfair competition. He has also handled appeals to the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the Fourth Circuit, as well as state supreme courts, and he is experienced in a broad range of technologies and industries, including chemical, biochemical, pharmaceutical, electrical, mechanical, and computer science.

In addition, Mr. Namrow has appeared extensively before the International Trade Commission in Section 337 proceedings on behalf of both complainants and respondents, and he regularly counsels international companies on ITC process and procedure. Mr. Namrow has particular experience representing U.S., Asian, and Israeli companies in the highly-specialized ITC proceedings. He has lectured widely in the U.S., Europe, Asia, and the Middle East on Section 337 investigations, and he has recently been asked by a prominent publishing house to author a treatise on ITC procedure.

Formerly a partner in Venable LLC's Washington office, Mr. Namrow received his B.A. from Bucknell University in 1989, his M.Phil. from Oxford University in 1993, and his J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law in 1996.
