Jon Glick Joins Become.com from Yahoo!; Search Veteran is Named Senior Director of Product Search and Comparison Shopping.


MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. -- Become.com (www.become.com), a search engine that helps people find product reviews and relevant buying information, today announced that search engine expert Jon Glick has joined as Senior Director of Product Search and Comparison Shopping. Glick brings more than 14 years of experience in technical management, marketing and search technologies. He will head the development of Become.com's comparison shopping service, and will report to Chris Kermoian, Vice President of Product Management.

Glick joins Become.com from Yahoo! (Nasdaq:YHOO YHOO Yahoo! Inc. (NASDAQ symbol) ) where he headed Product Management for Yahoo!'s web crawling, indexing, search relevancy, and assisted search initiatives. He was an instrumental part of the team that launched Yahoo!'s in-house web search in 2004, displacing Google (Nasdaq:GOOG GOOG Google, Inc. (stock symbol) ). Previously he served as Director of Internet Search for both Overture Services and AltaVista.
