) has started a 2,000-metre diamond drill program to test targets at their West Timmins project, south of Xstrata's Montcalm nickel nickel, metallic chemical element; symbol Ni; at. no. 28; at. wt. 58.69; m.p. about 1,453°C;; b.p. about 2,732°C;; sp. gr. 8.902 at 25°C;; valence 0, +1, +2, +3, or +4.  mine.

The targets, located just south of the Montcalm claims, are said to be within the strike extension of the Montcalm Intrusive in·tru·sive  
adj.

2. Geology Of or relating to igneous rock that is forced while molten into cracks or between other layers of rock.

 Complex.

The property is located 60 km west of Timmins. PFN signed an agreement with Xstrata to spend $4 million over 4 years to earn a 100 per cent interest.

The West Timmins project is located adjacent to Xstrata's (formerly Falconbridge) Montcalm deposit.

A planned deep drill program at Montcalm by Xstrata was expected to begin in January. Pacific Northwest was following shortly after with their own exploration.

A January 18 news release says PFN's program will evaluate deep conductive conductive
