Joint Americas initiative launched by Cushman.

Cushman & Wakefield has announced that it has formed a joint initiative with a major South American commercial real estate firm. This strategic alliance with Mackenzie Hill of Sao Paulo, Brazil provides Cushman & Wakefield's clients with access to all markets in Brazil, Chile and Argentina. Clients of Mackenzie Hill will be able to use Cushman & Wakefield for their real estate needs in the United States, Mexico and Canada.

This announcement was made by William A. Bugg, Jr., executive director of international operations for Cushman & Wakefield and by Brian Busson, managing director of Mackenzie Hill.

"The United States has long been this region's trading partner," said Mackenzie Hill's Busson. "With the completion of the North American Free Trade Agreement, the amount of business flowing northwards is sure to increase. A partnership with Cushman & Wakefield allows us to better serve our South American clients' property requirements almost anywhere."

Cushman & Wakefield's Arthur J. Mirante agreed, saying "The opening of previously closed economies in Chile, Argentina and Brazil provides tremendous opportunities for North American companies to develop or expand facilities in South America. Our association with Mackenzie Hill means we are well represented in the major markets of that continent. Mirante also noted the number of multi-national firms now doing business in South America, and commented that as South American economies continue to stabilize, more foreign firms will seek opportunities below the equator.

With the addition of the Mackenzie Hill alliance, Cushman & Wakefield's international joint initiatives now cover the Americas from pole to pole, as well as the United Kingdom and Europe. Over 70 offices between the firms Cushman & Wakefield (United States), Healey & Baker (United Kingdom and Europe) and Mackenzie Hill provides both professional, consistent service and local expertise, regardless-of geographic borders.

Mackenzie Hill has been providing real estate services in South America-for over 20 years, specializing in office, industrial, and retail properties. Its services include general consulting, appraisal work, acquisitions and sales, leasing, project management, and investment advice. The firm has offices in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and Santiago, Chile, and will open an office in Buenos Aires, Argentina by year-end.
