For up-and-coming executives in the Los Angeles area, admission into an elite social or business club has long served as symbol of having "arrived." Now there's a different kind of membership opportunity, being offered to a select group of high-powered, high-net worth individuals: an opportunity to become a charter member of the California WellBeing Institute.

While traditional country club memberships are vested in the outer trappings of wealth and privilege, the California WellBeing Institute provides an opportunity for members to invest in the inner resources of health and wellness. Medical and concierge services, breakthrough DNA monitoring, revolutionary longevity lon·gev·i·ty (ln-jv-t programs, Four Seasons fitness and spa amenities, healthy gourmet dining--these are just a few of the perks included in various membership options, which include Silver, Gold and Platinum Programs.

"If your definition of the good life encompasses healthy living, then you've come to the right place," says Christine Marcello, Membership and Community Relations Manager at the California WellBeing Institute. "We have a variety of options to suit different needs and interests, depending on whether you're looking for extensive executive physicals, an ongoing relationship with a Registered Dietitian di·e·ti·cian (d-tsh or experienced LifeAdvisor, restaurant dining accounts, corkage benefits or access to the fitness center at the Four Seasons Hotel, which boasts a wide selection of state-of-the-art cardio and strength equipment, plus a studio for classes."

Members also have the chance to learn healthy culinary skills in the spacious demonstration kitchen, relax in a private shade cabana by the outdoor serenity pool, hit the links at the 18-hole par three executive course at Sherwood Lake Club, and partake in various workshops on anti-aging diet and lifestyle techniques.

Silver Membership includes a personalized longevity and wellness LifePlan, monthly LifeAdvisor Support, a consultation with a Registered Dietitian, spa benefits, Four Seasons Hotel fitness center access, dining accounts and a wide variety of discounts and priority usage privileges, for a $3,500 annual fee.

In addition to these basic benefits, Gold Members enjoy access to the medical and concierge services offered by the California Health and Longevity Institute, Inc. including an extensive executive physical and quarterly follow-ups as well as priority same-day/next-day reservations for doctor's appointments. Gold members also have ongoing access to Registered Dietitians, two spa appointments, and priority golf reservations at the 18-hole par 3 Executive Course at Sherwood Lake Club, included in the $10,000 annual fee.

Platinum Membership is the most comprehensive option, comprising all the benefits listed above. In addition, Platinum members may receive through California Health and Longevity Institute, Inc. consolidation of patient's medical history, unlimited travel immunizations, flu shots and a dedicated e-mail address and immediate response to questions regarding the member's personal health concerns (annual fee $15,000).

In addition to the extraordinary facilities and tangible benefits of medical services and wellbeing programming, membership also provides an opportunity to build relationships with other business and social leaders in the community who share a similar commitment to healthy living. Membership provides a luxurious, exclusive, private forum in which to meet, celebrate, learn and relax with family, friends and associates.
